Hello book lovers!
Ah, spring! Better yet, May in Minnesota. Puffy clouds drift in the blue sky. Hillsides turn green. Flowers bloom. Crows wash their victims in my birdbath.
No, seriously, they do! I’ve heard they soften dinner up before feeding it to their chicks. I’ve found everything from mouse and bird carcasses to hamburger buns floating in the birdbath. Nature is a bit rough…and oddly amusing.
Crows are like a good villain in a story. One minute murdering or stealing, and the next caring for their families. But despite nature’s dark side…May is still the perfect month to write outside.
Writing News:
A Castle Contended releases on June 24th! That means it’s time for the official cover reveal. Drum roll…
She loves her kingdom…and the foreign usurper they hate.
How can she choose between them?
The first novel was Tristan’s story. This one is Beth’s story. She comes into her own and must now fill her destined role. She has always believed that role would end what little freedom she had. Is that true? Subtle power can be found within the constraints of her culture, but what happens when she must decide between using it for herself or for everyone else?
Yes, I said this is a cover reveal, but some of you may think it looks familiar. If so, you have already found the ebook pre-order links. For everyone else, here they are. (Paperback ordering will be available by June 24.)
Fun and free:
Here is the freebie section of my newsletter. Choose from over eighty free stories. This time I have both A Castle Sealed and Flying Blind included in the giveaway. If you’ve only read one of them, this is your chance to grab the other.
Here is a link to Book Cave’s May contest to win a free ereader or a $50 gift card. (Yay, more book money!) You can sign up again each month.
Happy reading!
